Lou Holtz on choices…
Posted by Katey Shinn under For Realty Professionals,
Holtz said “the key is to have a plan, to hold people accountable and to believe it can be done”. “You have to get people to make good decisions,. Wherever you are in life, good or bad, it’s because of the choices you make. Choose to succeed rather than fail. Choose to work harder rather than to loaf your way through it. We had a plan, a vision and we wouldn’t compromise our core values” he said.
On Saturday July 18, 2009 Lou Holtz was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame along with 20+ others at South Bend, Indiana. Holtz took over 6 struggling college football programs and turned them into bowl teams within 2 years. He led the Fighting Irish to their last national championship in 1988.
So here is my question…do you have a plan? When you are feeling overwhelmed, insecure, a little sad, what is your plan? Sometimes it is good to talk to a friend, go for a walk, listen to Sinatra, or re-read notes from a class. I like to remind myself of the blessings I have and the knowledge that together we can do anything.
If you don’t have a plan, come in and meet with me and I can help you put together a plan. Remember…you eat an elephant one bite at a time. So let’s put together a plan, have a fantastic vision for the future and start your journey with one step, then another, then another.
